Mangrove Kayak Tour

Very special forests live in the roots of the sea, above and below water.
The mangrove ecosystem is one of the most important in the world, as they sequester much more CO2 than any other forest, contribute as a flood barrier, prevent coastal erosion, are a refuge and food source for marine invertebrates, birds, reptiles, and mammals, among many other reasons to promote their conservation.

The tour consists of a circuit of several kilometers with a diversity of tropical landscapes, from rivers, canals, estuary, mangrove, and tropical forest. The ecology of Damas Island and its surroundings is known for its mangrove estuaries and its biodiversity of flora and fauna. The fauna includes many wild animals such as white-faced monkeys, sloths, green iguanas, crabs, turtles, crocodiles, raccoons, anteaters, and numerous species of birds.
